[RL] 001, Jailbreak: After the Fall.

Dexter pushed against the roof of Bruce's car with his palm, feeling freedom in its upholstery. As much as his insides were buzzing with the chance to see his children again, he was ashamed. He had let them down, just as Harry had said he would - He wasn't fit to be their father anymore.
He squirmed in the silent backseat, tugging absently at the shirt Bruce had brought him to change into. And after a small eternity, they rolled up in front of Elektra's mansion. He wasn't sure he had ever seen something so extravagant merely meant for living in. At least not up close.
He was surprised to feel his heart hammering in his chest when they were finally on the safe side of the door.
"Candy," he breathed, a small smile taking over his haggard features when he saw his daughter waiting for him.
